What is this?
PATCH is a first person shooter where the player takes on the role of a first responder tasked with combating a spreading digital corruption. This corruption has leaked into the physical world, warping the environment and corrupting the town’s citizens and infrastructure. As the player, your goal is to eliminate corruption sources using pure data as your primary form of ammunition, while also fighting corrupted NPC robots and clearing corruption from the environment.
When enemies and corruption sources are defeated, they drop corrupted data that the player can collect. This data must be brought back to the player’s emergency vehicle, where it is recompiled into clean, usable data. The recompiled data is then used both as ammunition and as a resource to unlock new weapons and upgrades.

Our game is set in a transition between post-cyberpunk and pre-solarpunk. This will allow us to have some cyberpunk and solarpunk elements along with other weird things because this is an era of change.

One thing we are trying to avoid is a depressing atmosphere which tends to stick with cyberpunk. We are trying to get a more upbeat and positive vibe for this game.

Style Inspirations
Our game is set in an Italian fishing village. Most cyberpunk setting are set in a huge mega city and we wanted to explore different areas to see how they would be affected by technology.
All of the art shown is still super early and going to change a lot in the near future.
